One third of global crop production is dependent on pollinators, and honeybees pollinate 80% of all flowering plants. However, 30-50% of hives are lost each year to disease. Starting with the honeybee, Dalan is developing vaccines to protect invertebrates from bacterial, fungal, and viral pathogens.
